i just can't decide

hey there fellas. I've been so busy with work again and now I finally got the chance to tell you about my situation. Well, I never thought of writing more because I could hardly tell anything the experiences I had in a day however just yesterday something happened and I doubt if I could decide on my own. So, I then decided to write and tell you guys what's bothering me. Should you give advices, please feel free to leave your comments of leave a line or two on my shoutbox.

To start with, before I work as a Secretary I had undergone a panel interview and all the hiring process that the institution is implementing. I could still remember one of the questions during the said interview, if i am willing to work for three months for a training to see how efficient I am and etc.." with that, I accepted it because I know that may help me. When you're a contractual your rate is lower than the minimum wage. And just yesterday I accidentally read the evaluation and read the entire content. Well, I am happy with the result. I have an average rate of 4 which is very good. The comment was, "as a beginner, she shows a promise to be a good employee" however, when I read the recommendation it says, "retention for another 3 months.." My gosh! I maybe demanding but I can't take it anymore. I can't afford to stay longer as a contractual considering the lower rate, no uniform, no sure benefit, uncertain future... I know you get what I mean. Honestly, If I don't have obligation in my family I would still stay but with the situation I'm in right now, I can't find a reason to stay longer.. My family needs me most. My papa has no more work, my mama as well..my younger brother is still studying in college, also my second brother and his family are now staying at home. He has no more work, his wife though has a job but her job isn't that stable and so we can't rely to it.

My brother who is a supervisor in a certain company which is known and undeniably has a good foundation asked me to apply to their company because it offers a better salary rate and a better benefits. He have been inviting me for almost 2 months but I just rejected it. But just last night, after thinking of what I've read (the evaluation) I thought of leaving my current work and be employed to their company. He can recommend me, he assures that.. but know what fellas? It isn't easy at all.. I can't tell you guys the whole thing but for your idea of what I'm trying to say, well, My boss is really a good boss. She's very determined and she trust me so much. She was my boss during my college days when I work as a working student. Because of her help, I became a better me. I love her and I appreciate her a lot. And these are the reasons why I can't decide on my own. I don't want to see her adjusting again. I'm afraid I might disappointed her. I don't if I could express to her my point of leaving when I decided to.. oh my..

I'm so occupied with these things. I could hardly decide which way to go. I am motivated by my family's presence. I believe they need me and I am very intense and deeply willing to provide them their needs.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

nakakakilig!!!

A Very Special Love is a 2008 romantic-comedy film featuring the first team-up of Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz on the big screen. It released in theaters last July 30, 2008 and it had given Rated A by Cinema Evaluation Board.

SUMMARY

Laida is a modern-day Belle. She works hard to provide for her family while believing that someday she will meet her prince charming and they will live happily ever after together. That prince charming is none other than Miggy Montenegro, the youngest of the Montenegro clan—a well established family in the business world. Laida dreams of meeting Miggy every day and every night. These dreams lead her to apply as an Editorial Assistant at Miggy’s newly established men’s magazine Bachelor despite it being a long shot, hoping that working in the company will allow her to be close to the man who invades her dreams every night.

By some sort of luck, Laida lands the job. Overwhelmed by the being in the presence of her crush, and by her instant employment, Laida remains blind to the fact that the Miggy she dreams of is very different from the real one. Miggy in person is a hothead who thinks he’s always right. The word “sorry” doesn’t mean anything to him. Everyone is scared of him, except Laida, who is always ready to defend her dream man. Blindly she caters to his whim, even when he sent her to be his proxy on his date with his girlfriend, breaking her heart a little. Her co-workers question her unrelenting dedication to such a monster but when Laida proves quite loyal to the man, gossip about Laida’s feelings for their boss starts to circulate. Laida, to defend herself, unwittingly reveals information about Miggy’s personal life which earns her his ire. Being shouted at for the first time by the man she dreams of opens Laida’s eyes to reality. And her awakening in turn leads to Miggy’s rude awakening of why people do not like him.

No one has ever talked back to Miggy before. No one dared tell him their opinions and or suggestions. Miggy was always right and that’s how he likes it. But when Laida, a simpleton who just follows his every command tells him to his face that he is wrong, Miggy begins to wonder if the reason for his failures could actually be him. For the first time Miggy apologizes. And this opens the door to a whole new world of a lot of “firsts” for Miggy. With the help of Laida, Miggy slowly learns to be a teamplayer. With the help of Laida, Miggy slowly learns the value of loyalty.

But Miggy’s conflict with his siblings keeps pulling Miggy back to his old ways, and not even Laida’s presence in his life can clear the shadow casted on him by his family. Laida does everything she knows just to help Miggy at the expense of time with her family. As Laida and Miggy’s fight to save the magazine become more intense, so is their fight to keep their intentions and emotions at bay. Will Laida and Miggy ever figure out the right combination to solve their problems in business and in their personal lives? Or will their mismatching personalities, despite their common interest and goal keep them from ever figuring out their perfect pair?

Watch this movie, you'll see.. It's really fun and has sense.. ENJOY!

date with my mom & my savior

My day was over. This will be kept forever.. I know for sure that this is just the start.. for me everything happened is a fulfillment.

Ever since I was a kid, my mom and I always hang out together. We eat in a certain restaurant or any food chain at least once a month. However, due to the change brought by time, we seldom go out together..I miss it so badly but I just can't ask her for a date because I don't have income at all.. And when I graduated and finally got a good job, I was able to prioritize our date before anything else. really..

Yesterday was a wonderful day. My mom and I once again bonded. I don't have much money to spend to but at least I could provide something for her to enjoy.. And yesterday, we ate at Jollibee together for an hour. We talked and you know what, I observed, we're now more of a barkada.. of course, she still gained my respect. She's my mom, nothing can change that.. The closeness is just deeper than we used to. I love it.. feels so good.

After eating our lunch, we went upstairs to watch the latest Filipino movie, A very special Love.. by Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz. Wheew! Its really one of the best movie I've ever seen! It's great! You better watch it.. hehe! We were just standing in the stairs because there's no more vacant seats for the whole duration however, theres really no regret regardless of the situation. Everyone are actively reacting..comedy and drama.. t'was the best. I honestly want to watch for the second time but we could hardly look for seats until we decided to go..

After which.. I and my mom had a merienda. I bought her Zagu..hmm. delicious shake with sago, we chose black forest flavor and we partner it with waffles. tsk tsk! we seated somewhere and talk until 4 o'clock. I decided to go because she has to go somewhere else and I too would like to attend mass.

I went to church alone but mind you..I'm confident. I missed talking to God. I missed him. I thanked her for everything I've got and I ask for his forgiveness for my mistakes, failures and for not visiting or talking to him often than I used to..

Indeed, it was a date with my mom and a date with my savior.

Thank God..

shocking

I woke up around 7 o'clock, that's why i came to school so late. It was actually my second time. When I entered the gate I accidentally meet my boss and then I greeted her, she greeted me back and said, April, tell Mrs. Cheung that I'm not available. I have an emergency to attend to.. i replied, "opo mam" and then I rushed until I arrive in the office. I see no one inside and it bothers me much.. after 6 mins., one of the working students came and said that our boss was acting so weird. I asked her more about what happened since she came in early.

Rose (working student) relayed that Maam was calling someone and then suddenly her voice was really raised so loud. She's angry and could hardly breathe. She never even let the receiver talk instead she bang the phone and leave the office. I was shock of what I heard. Rose was totally shock as well. Rose thought of something to do however, she was hesitant to reach even a glass of water.

well, my boss is known to have a heart failure, oh actually deeper than that case and that made us feel scared of what might happen to her if she can't handle her emotions. Luckily she called around 8:30 and said that her graduate school class will be canceled and will meet next Saturday.

I know for sure that she's calm and fine. Though I don't have any idea what really happened, I just know that theres something unusual. For how many years of working with her, there was never a time when she really raised her voice to someone her talking with..its more of a family problem more or less. I pray that God may be with them regardless of how big or small their problem is...

not a goOd day fOr us..

First day of August is not my day. I arrived early in the office and just browsing my blog when my boss suddenly arrive. She was so quiet and seems to have a bad day too.. well, actually my day started so good.. its just that in the middle of the morning my boss look for a certain faculty letter and then I realized that it was already forwarded to a certain office which I think the right also. When my boss knew, her voice raised up and said, "..that's wrong. you should have waited my signal..blah blah" ouch?!

well, it was actually not our fault. I know when and where to give certain communication and if I'm uncertain, I will surely ask my boss for guidance.. there's no room to pretend otherwise I'll be awarded. hmm.. oh yeah, It was Marian, one of the GIA's here who made an honest mistake. There's no way to blame.. important thing is, everything is okay now.

Though my boss know nothing about what really happened, I'll just keep it for myself. No hurt feelings.. I'm professional. hehe! Hope I can work better than I could because every time I reflect, I end up feeling unworthy of what I'm in right now. I feel that I'm working at my best however, my best isn't enough.. hay!

its so cold lately

Thanked God for the rain! So cold here.. this is better than what we have experienced for the past days.. so hot, so dusty and really messy. I thought the rain would never come again..
Blessed we are since it came..well, I'd rather let the rain fall rather than seeing the sun so strong which makes human being almost burn from its heat. No wonder why it happened... Most of us are very careless, we don't follow the right procedure for throwing our waste, there are some who cut down trees and never bored to replace them, garbage are thrown into the sea or to rivers.. see? these are few of the reasons why this happened...

Have you ever experienced the sudden shift of the whether? that's very alarming, right?.. it happened many times here. We have no right to blame anyone because even we, are very reckless and now that we are experiencing such problem, how can we resolve this? This can't be solve by one or a group of five or group of 100.. we should act on this together..

God gave us his blessings and he made his people to be the steward of his creation.. but what did we do? hay! :(

My boss decided to continue the so called TRACER STUDY again. She just hired Ms. Salvacion, a former working student in the Guidance Office, to organize the said study. Well, it will not be that hard anymore compared last summer. good luck to her..

I failed to sleep again during my lunch break because my college friend [Girlie] and I had a chat regarding our present situation. Both of us are working already same is through with the rest of our group [barkada]. That's it. I spent my lunch break talking to her.. I raised few questions about some past that is left unanswered. it was a meaningful conversation though. I realized something after such conversation. hmm. i missed her.

hmm. nothing to say but hay!

fellas?! how are you guys?

I'm pretty happy because today is my Bro's birthday. The eldest in the family whom i used to call, "AYA". He is undeniably intelligent and neat. Aya has 2 talented kids and has a weak live-in partner. Honestly, He has that sex appeal that ladies out there can't surely resist. hehe. hmm..i wanna share this.. I just remembered something..

He shared one time that he met someone, she's pretty, hotty, and smart. He then said so many good traits that the lady possessed. He had already asked the girl for a date.. oh my. and then he added, I almost love her.. toinks? how do you expect me to react? still i remain silent. Until one day, my ate weng (my bro's live-in partner), visited us at home and she was very wild and she's crying so badly. And then i knew it was all about the lady.. tsk tsk.

I can't actually tell you the details of what really happened between them. I observed that they were immature and know what? there kids are really affected. I'm so sad about what happened and my parents are pretty bothered about the situation. hay!

Now-a-days, its like such situation is inevitable.. however, I believe that if youre really willing to SACRIFICE, whatever temptation may come, you can resist and you can decide which path you wanna go.. WE SHOULD WEIGH FIRST before we decide. Lets bear in mind that in every action or decision we are making, people around us, especially those who are close to us are really affected..

not a good day..

well, this day wasn't a good one.. this wasn't my day. Maybe because I went to bed late last night. I don't know what exactly happened but I'm pretty bothered of my boyfriend's absence. I was thinking of him and wishing that he'll call anytime. I want to talk to him and ask if he's okay, how's his work, and many more. . also, I was alarmed by the news i heard about the "bagyo" in Manila. Manila is a huge place though, however, I just never heard from him for almost 2 days.. that made me feel so worried.

Luckily, in the middle of the night he called and we talked. hmm. that's it.. I'm happy again and worry no more, but I just really not in the mood to work. I want to sleep and I want to relax.

what took him so long..

fellas! I'm here again. I'm pretty bothered about our situation right now. I'm talkin' about my relationship with my boyfriend. He's been in Manila for almost 10 months. Yeah! for almost 5 months of working in an Agency, until now he is still not qualified to work in a ship. My God! I don;t want him to stay longer there. I'm badly missing him..Saddest part is, we both have no choice but to continue what we already have. I have my work though which couldn't be set aside otherwise my family too will suffer.

I planned to work there in Manila but thinking vividly, i decided not to.. why? because the probability of engaging into something is way too high and I'm not yet ready for that. We should work harder in order to plan for our future and to help our family. I'm pretty bothered though if the relationship would still be okay. If we could still work for this.. well, Blessed we are since we have a constant communication.. though we're both busy, by all means, we keep in touch.

It's not enough actually but I can find ways to make this enough..hehe.

I have thought of doing something but theres nothing I could think of.. I have done the filing, changing the slips folders, and checking the Comfort room, my table is clean, hmm.. if theres something we could do to get it better.. still, i found none. And so, I was able to update this blog home of mine. I just hope this will really work. I sometimes feel bored but every time I post something in here, I feel more comfortable and free.

Budget?

well, i just want to share.. hmm. I'm not sad but I'm not happy. So soon I will be receiving my 15 days salary. For your knowledge, both my mom and dad has no more sources of income and so, I carry all the obligation to settle the bills such as electricity, water and tuition of my younger bro. also, i am expected to give something for our daily needs. In short, I don't have any chance to buy something for myself. It's okay though..at least, I was able to help my parents and we're happy.
I can't deny though that something inside me makes me feel that I'm not satisfied. Maybe because I work so hard, i work overtime but I don't see anything for myself..i think I should treat myself sometimes, right? I mean, you know, new stuff to motivate you to work more.. do you get what i mean? hmm.ooOOooh. I know this is just temporary.. hope so.

DO YOU KNOW THAT... Stress can cause severe health problems and, in extreme cases, can cause death.

Stress Management Techniques

This section of Mind Tools helps you survive under the intense stress that can come with a challenging career.

This will help you to understand stress and what causes it: This is an important starting point for effective stress management. They introduce you to the three main approaches to stress management, and then shows you how you can identify the key sources of stress in your life.

We then look at a range of stress management techniques. Unlike some other approaches to stress management, the Mind Tools approach is, where possible, to tackle stress at source. This means that not only do we show you how to deal with the symptoms of stress, we show you how to deal with the underlying causes as well.

Physical Relaxation Techniques

  • Deep Breathing, PMR and the Relaxation Response

Physical relaxation techniques are as effective as mental techniques in reducing stress. In fact, the best relaxation is achieved by using physical and mental techniques together.

These three useful physical relaxation techniques can help you reduce muscle tension and manage the effects of the fight-or-flight response on your body. This is particularly important if you need to think clearly and perform precisely when you are under pressure.

The techniques we will look at are Deep Breathing, Progressive Muscular Relaxation and “The Relaxation Response”.

Deep Breathing

Deep breathing is a simple, but very effective, method of relaxation. It is a core component of everything from the "take ten deep breaths" approach to calming someone down, right through to yoga relaxation and Zen meditation. It works well in conjunction with other relaxation techniques such as Progressive Muscular Relaxation, relaxation imagery and meditation to reduce stress.

To use the technique, take a number of deep breaths and relax your body further with each breath. That's all there is to it!

Progressive Muscular Relaxation

Progressive Muscular Relaxation is useful for relaxing your body when your muscles are tense.

The idea behind PMR is that you tense up a group of muscles so that they are as tightly contracted as possible. Hold them in a state of extreme tension for a few seconds. Then, relax the muscles normally. Then, consciously relax the muscles even further so that you are as relaxed as possible.

By tensing your muscles first, you will find that you are able to relax your muscles more than would be the case if you tried to relax your muscles directly.

Experiment with PMR by forming a fist, and clenching your hand as tight as you can for a few seconds. Relax your hand to its previous tension, and then consciously relax it again so that it is as loose as possible. You should feel deep relaxation in your hand muscles.

The Relaxation Response

‘The Relaxation Response’ is the name of a book published by Dr Herbert Benson of Harvard University in 1968. In a series of experiments into various popular meditation techniques, Dr Benson established that these techniques had a very real effect on reducing stress and controlling the fight-or-flight response. Direct effects included deep relaxation, slowed heartbeat and breathing, reduced oxygen consumption and increased skin resistance.

This is something that you can do for yourself by following these steps:

  • Sit quietly and comfortably.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Start by relaxing the muscles of your feet and work up your body relaxing muscles.
  • Focus your attention on your breathing.
  • Breathe in deeply and then let your breath out. Count your breaths, and say the number of the breath as you let it out (this gives you something to do with your mind, helping you to avoid distraction).

Do this for ten or twenty minutes.

An even more potent alternative approach is to follow these steps, but to use relaxation imagery instead of counting breaths in step 5. Again, you can prove to yourself that this works using the biofeedback equipment.

S u m m a r y

“Deep Breathing,” “Progressive Muscular Relaxation,” and the steps leading to the “Relaxation Response” are three good techniques that can help you to relax your body and manage the symptoms of the fight-or-flight response.

These are particularly helpful for both handling nerves prior to an important performance, and reducing stress generally.

This is an excerpt from "Managing Stress for Career Success", the Mind Tools Stress Management Masterclass. These physical relaxation techniques are just some of the important skills that we explain. As well as explaining relaxation techniques, the Stress Management Masterclass shows you how to take action to tackle the root causes of job stress - a side-effect of this approach is that you become more effective and successful in your career.

Click here to find out more about The Stress Management Masterclass, and here to visit the Stress.MindTools.Com site, which has many more articles on stress.

Warning: Stress can cause severe health problems and, in extreme cases, can cause death. While these stress management techniques have been shown to have a positive effect on reducing stress, they are for guidance only, and readers should take the advice of suitably qualified health professionals if they have any concerns over stress-related illnesses or if stress is causing significant or persistent unhappiness. Health professionals should also be consulted before any major change in diet or levels of exercise.

I'm Luckier

For all of my life, i felt that I'm not that blessed compared to other people around me. They have almost everything. Great looks, nice body, brilliant brain, and financially stable. well, who doesn't want those?

I've been into so much struggle and never expected I could work immediately after graduation from college. yeah, i already earn certain degree but to tell you honestly I am not confident of my capabilities. For me I'm so young to be employed and so young to handle responsibilities..

I'm a fighter that's innate but inside of me lies all the fears. What i have in mind is that, the expectations is high enough to be on a certain position. However, in spite of what i thought, you know what I did? I prayed and ask God for guidance and that he will give me what i truly deserve.. whatever it is will be humbly accepted and i will never ask for more....

Presenting my working area... ------ >

It's plain and simple, Isn't it?..I never thought to have such.. For me, I'm luckier that without any expectations, I was able to hire as a Secretary and now enjoying the privileges..

Despite the fears i had, God gave answers to all those prayers.. I'm lucky enough..

FOR YOU: empowering quotes

Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it's cracked up to be. That's why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk anything, you risk even more."

What do you think?

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."

any comment?

Lets enjoy our life to the fullest.. Love and get hurt, get hurt and love again. :)

In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.

I do believe on such quote. Right now, I'm doing my job seriously. I have no one to depend on.. It's pretty hard for me act as if i worry nothing.. i don't have any choice at all though. Well, I'm glad since Mem nova is still working with me. All i have to do is to Buzz her and ask her so many questions.. i believe I could meet their expectations in time.. I just hope that the difficulties I'm experiencing right now would soon be turn into another opportunity.. I'd like to learn more. I'd like to work really hard not to impress anyone but to prove to myself that despite the weaknesses i possess, with determination, hard work and passion within me, i can survive. I believe i will.

Opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Adieu NOVA

When you departed...
It was only a day.
Now it's some months.
Soon it will be years.
It's so hard to say good-bye.
Nevertheless, adieu.

The waves are calm already,
It echoes in our hearts.
There is so much to tell,
There is so much to share like we used to,
But where are you to listen?
Still I say adieu.

The memory torments,
Memories of the good, the bad and the ugly times,
Of the happy sad and bittersweet experiences we shared.
In trying to be brave, I say adieu,
Though in tears for the scars hurt.

Have you found your missing rib?

Love Story

A love story can inspire and give new direction to an otherwise ordinary love life. Because love stories that paint the innermost feelings of the couples, their aspirations, can immediately strike a chord with those who are in love. It is love that has inspired thousands to stand up against all odds. And love stories reflect how people in love have changed the course of history by refusing to adhere to the irrational norms set by the society. People who are in love are therefore blessed with the divine spirit.

Take this...

A girl in love asked her boyfriend.

Girl: Tell me. Who do you love most in this world?

Boy: You, of course!

Girl: In your heart, what am I to you?

Boy: The boy thought for a moment and looked intently in her eyes and said, "You are my rib. It was said that God saw that Adam was lonely, during his sleep, God took one of Adam's rib and created Eve. Every man has been searching for his missing rib, only when you find the woman of your life, you'll no longer feel the lingering ache in your heart."

After their wedding, the couple had a sweet and happy life for a while.

However, the youthful couple began to drift apart due to the busy schedule of life and the never-ending worries of daily problems, their life became mundane.

All the challenges posed by the harsh realities of life began to gnaw away their dreams and love for each other. The couple began to have more quarrels and each quarrel became more heated.

One day, after the quarrel, the girl ran out of the house. At the opposite side of the road, she shouted, "You don't love me!"

The boy hated her childishness and out of impulse, retorted, "Maybe, it was a mistake for us to be together! You were never my missing rib!"

Suddenly, she turned quiet and stood there for a long while. He regretted what he said but words spoken are like thrown away water, you can never take it back. With tears, she went home to pack her things and was determined in breaking-up.

Before she left the house, "If I'm really not your missing rib, please let me go." She continued, "It is less painful this way. Let us go on our separate ways and search for our own partners."

Five years went by...

He never remarried but he had tried to find out about her life indirectly. She had left the country and back. She had married a foreigner and divorced. He felt anguished that she never waited for him.

In the dark and lonely night, he lit his cigarette and felt the lingering ache in his heart. He couldn't bring himself to admit that he was missing her.

One day, they finally met. At the airport, a place where there were many reunions and good byes. He was going away on a business trip. She was standing there alone, with just the security door separating them. She smiled at him gently.

Boy: How are you?

Girl: I'm fine. How about you? Have you found your missing rib?

Boy: No.

Girl: I'll be flying to New York in the next flight.

Boy: I'll be back in 2 weeks time. Give me a call when you are back. You know my number. Nothing has changed.

With a smile, she turned around and waved good bye.

Good bye...

One week later, he heard of her death. She had perished in New York, in the event that shocked the world.

Midnight, once again, he lit his cigarette. And like before, he felt the lingering ache in his heart. He finally knew. She was the missing rib that he had carelessly broken.

Sometimes, people say things out of moments of fury. Most often than not, the outcome could be disastrous and detrimental. We vent our frustrations 99% at our loved ones. And even though we know that we ought to "think twice and act wisely", it's often easier said than done.

Things happen each day, many of which are beyond our control. Let us treasure every moment and everyone in our lives.

Tomorrow may never come. Give and accept what you have today...
