Alzheimer is the most common form of dementia. This is an incurable, degenerative and terminal disease. Individuals experience the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease in unique ways. The earliest symptoms are often mistaken as being age-related, or manifestations of stress. The most recognized symptom is the memory loss, such as difficulty remembering recently learned facts. As the disease advances, symptoms include confusion, irritability and aggression, mood swings, language breakdown, long-term memory loss, and withdrawal of the sufferer as one senses decline. Both minor and major bodily functions are lost, ultimately leading to death.

Let's act hand in hand, how? To team up with the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk. It is known as the nation's largest event that raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. They are calling for volunteers of any age to be part and become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. There are several walks in over 600 communities where 2-3 mile walk are held on a morning weekends. Aren't we one family? We should help one another...What are you waiting for? Team up with the Alzheimer's Association, you can walk with a purpose- and move us closer to a world free from Alzheimer's. Together, we can MOVE a nation.

The pressures can be wide-ranging, involving social, psychological, physical, and economic elements however, mental stimulation, exercise and balanced diet are recommended, as both prevention and as sensible way of managing it.
